Club Med to Reopen Cancun Property after post-Wilma Refurbishment
The Club Med Cancun Yucatan will reopen its doors November 11, following a 13-month, $20 million renovation program that resulted from last year´s Hurricane Wilma.
Changes at the resort, which will no longer be an adults-only property, include a strong emphasis on the discovery of the Yucatan region, new family and children´s programs, upscale amenities throughout, and the introduction of Jade Villa, a concierge villa for luxury travelers.
On the kid front, a Mini-Club Med for kids ages 4 to 10 years will launch the last week of December, while the teens programs will get cracking November 18.
And for parents traveling with infants, Club Med Cancun Yucatan will provide a Baby Welcome program with bottle warmers, high chairs and in-room babysitting.
Meanwhile, an adults-only dining area will cater to those seeking a child-free environment.
