Choice Hotels International Opens 36 New Hotels

Choice Hotels International announced 36 newly-opened franchised properties during the month of December. The openings include hotels in 19 states and territories and five countries, adding more than 3,000 rooms to the company’s existing 450,000-plus rooms.

Select properties that opened in December include: the 72-room Comfort Inn & Suites in Seattle; the 99-room Quality Inn El Tuque, in Ponce, Puerto Rico; a Comfort Suites in San Antonio, Texas; and the 146-room Sleep Inn Manaus in Mansaus, Brazil.

Other Choice brand hotels that opened in December include: Comfort Hotel and Comfort Inn in Alice Springs, Australia; Antioch, Ill.; Beckley, W.Va.; Chiyoda-ku, Japan; Madison, Ind.; and Marrero, La.

Other new openings are in Abilene, Texas; Clayton, N.C.; Nasacoches, Texas; Southington, Conn.; Stratford, Conn.; Tomball, Texas; Econo Lodge and Econo Lodge & Suites in Cronbrook, Canada.
