CHA Communication Chief Lorraine Ortiz Praised

Within the framework of the 24th Caribbean Marketplace, planned by the Caribbean Hotels Association (CHA), organizers awarded Lorraine Ortiz for her seven years devoted to the promotion of and assistance to journalists that attend the yearly event, this time around held in Puerto Rico’s San Juan.

The award-presenting ceremony was attended by local and foreign journalists, as well as by CHA execs headed by Simon Suarez and Alec Sanguinetti, CHA president and director, respectively. The tribute to Mrs. Ortiz, on behalf on all of her colleagues, was arranged by journalists Janet Silveira of Jamaica’s The Gleaner, and Norma Anaya Rojas of El Financiero de Mexico, who spoke words of appraisal –in English and Spanish- about Mrs. Ortiz. The emotional closing remarks were delivered by CHA President Simon Suarez.
