Carnival Adds VP of Caribbean Relations Position
Carnival Cruise Lines has appointed Gordon Buck to the newly created position of vice president of Caribbean Relations, Carnival said.
A 20-year veteran of the cruise industry, Mr. Buck will oversee the line’s port agents and port contracts for all Carnival ships operating in the Caribbean, Mexico and Central and South America and will also serve as a liaison with local government agencies in these regions.
Mr. Buck’s career with Carnival began when he joined Concord Nopal Lines, once a subsidiary of Carnival, as an equipment manager in 1978.
He became port operations manager in 1996 for Carnival and was named director of port operations three years later. In 2005, he was promoted to vice president of port operations.
