CARIMAC Expands Summer Courses

The media training institute of the University of the West Indies (UWI) is broadening its outreach program to offer instruction in media and communication to workers and aspiring workers in the Caribbean.

The summer program will start CARIMAC´s intensified training

courses on advertising, desktop publishing, digital video production, public relations, radio presentation and production, sports reporting and print journalism.

The Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC), which is located on the University´s Mona Campus, will in June begin its summer program, an extended version of the summer school that it has offered over the past 23 years.

The summer school will run from June 6 to August 27, and will be held in Kingston, and in Montego Bay, the holiday resort on the island´s north coast.

CARIMAC says it plans to follow this with a series of seminars and workshops in several countries of the Caribbean.
