Caribbean Star Slash Prices for Travel Industry Flyers
Caribbean Star has reduced its fare by 50 per cent for travellers within the tourism and travel-related industries. This discount is in effect for the period 15 September through November 30, 2005, and is applicable on 30-day and full economy fares.
These fares are being offered as a special consideration to tourist boards, airport authorities (including red caps and immigration personnel), hotel associations and hoteliers throughout the region. The offer will not be accessible during festivals and other relevant blackout periods.
According to the airline´s marketing department, employees at any of the eligible organizations or institutions must submit a letter from their company/employer or a company´s identification card when purchasing the ticket. This can only be done directly at Caribbean Star Airlines´ ticketing offices and is subject to verification of eligibility.
Sandra Scotland-Williams, marketing director of Caribbean Star, stated that this discount has been in effect for the past four years and has been highly successful.
"We constantly strive to meet all our customers´ demands and to generally improve our service. Our annual low discount fares during the off-peak season are one of the ways we assist people within the industry who are required to make frequent travel throughout the region. Indeed, one of the reasons we fly is because of these very special passengers," she pointed out.
