Cap Juluca Named “Caribbean Hideaway of the Year”
Cap Juluca has just finished in the runner-up spot of the top 20 international resort hotels ranking pieced together by readers of Andrew Harper´s "Hideaway Report". Results were published in the September 2005 edition of the newsletter.
This is the fourth year in a row that Cap Juluca grabbed top honors among Caribbean resorts, a distinction which began in 2002 when the hotel was chosen "Caribbean Hideaway of the Year" by Harper.
This distinction is one of many the hotel has received over the past few years, the most recent being the naming of General Manager Eustace Guishard as 2005 Hotelier of the Year, the highest honor bestowed by the Caribbean Hotel Association.
Andrew Harper (a nom de plume) began publishing his "Hideaway Report" twenty-six years ago and each issue conveys the observations of its editor.
Combing the globe for peaceful sanctuaries in uniquely private settings, Harper obtains many of his leads for new places from thousands of unsolicited letters, field reports and hotel critique cards he receives from loyal readers. Harper travels anonymously and his Report carries no advertising.
