Bulgaria Has Reeled in 18 Percent More Foreign Tourists in 2008

Foreign tourists in Bulgaria have increased by over 18 percent in the first 9 months of the year. This was announced by the chair of the State agency on tourism Anelia Krushkova, cited by BNR. She pointed out that by the end of the year it is totally realistic that the forecast of 20 percent increase of tourists is realized.

The increase of income from tourism for the eight months is nearly 13 percent. The EU citizens, who visited Bulgaria, were about 16 percent more. The number of tourists from Romania, Greece and Germany, Great Britain, Russia, Macedonia and Serbia has increased the most.
