Occidental Hotels & Resorts was selected as the best all-inclusive hotel chain of the year, an award granted by the British firm The TTG Awards.

The selection was made by a survey conducted on over 60 thousand British travel agents, and the final winner was chosen by 50 independent experts among which were the most important tour operators from the United Kingdom, specialized correspondents, and other personalities in the British tourism industry.

“For us, this award is an acknowledgement of the effort that we make to offer quality service to our guests, while constituting an incentive for all that form part of this chain in one way or another,” stated the General Operations deputy director for the Dominican Republic, Ventura Serra from Cuba.

Among finalists to this 2006 version, were Club Med, RIU, Breeze-SuperClubs, Sandals and Occidental Hotels.

This chain holds two dozen hotels in the Caribbean countries of Mexico, Costa Rica, Cuba, Antigua, Aruba and the Dominican Republic.
