Brazil Tour Operators Association Announces New Initiatives
The Brazil Tour Operator Association –a trade association comprised of the leading 29 U.S. tour operators selling Brazil in the U.S., along with new allied and associate members from Brazil- is looking forward to aggressively promoting members’ offerings this coming high season.
Energized by a membership drive that doubled tour operator members, added new Brazilian partners from the public and private sectors and built up a sizeable war chest for media promotion, the organization is moving full steam ahead.
The goal is to get the word out to travel agents, consumers and the press that now is the time for Americans to consider Brazil, a destination of remarkable variety and one that is still by all global standards an affordable one for American travelers.
And the strategy is simple: to turn the association’s newly launched website (http://www.braziltouroperators.org/) into the premier promotional platform for travel to Brazil, and to use new promotional funds to drive traffic to this site.
Association President Adam Carter reports that BTOA is well positioned to be the key player in catapulting Brazil to the forefront of must-visit destinations. He notes that over the course of 2008 BTOA has grown dramatically in size and stature.
