Best Western Names New Chairman
Best Western International’s Board of Directors named Roman J. Jaworowicz its chairman, effective for a one-year term starting December 10.
Mr. Jaworowicz, owner of the Best Western Highland Inn and Conference Centre in Midland, Ontario, and the Best Western Campbellsville Lodge in Campbellsville, Ky., most recently served as vice chairman of the Board. Mr. Jaworowicz replaces Charles Helm, who remains on the Board after serving as chairman since November 2006.
Mr. Jaworowicz has been a passionate Best Western member since 1985. His Midland, Ontario, property has won a number of awards for quality and service. The Buffalo, N.Y., native has spent more than 20 years in Ontario, and becomes the brand’s first Canadian hotelier to serve as Board chairman.
