Belize’s Machaca Hill Names Brian Gardiner New General Manager

Brian Gardiner was named general manager of Belize’s Machaca Hill. Born in Zimbabwe, Gardiner worked throughout South and East Africa managing safari companies, including Abercrombie & Kent, focusing in luxury environmental escapes.

Starting immediately, Machaca Hill will undergo significant upgrades and improvements. Keeping a focus on sustainable tourism, Gardiner will handpick his staff from surrounding communities.

The new guide education program will certify local employees as local field experts on fauna, flora, astronomy, climate, geography and Belizean history.
