Barcelo Punta Cana Completes Renovation

The Barcelo Punta Cana Resort in the Dominican Republic completed an extensive renovation to its public spaces, guest rooms, and outdoor recreation areas including the addition of a new pool, a new children’s pool with slides and fountains, a new spa and a new theater facility.

This $14 million dollar renovation project makes this beachfront, all-inclusive property a Premium level hotel within the Barcelo portfolio and upgrades the guest experience to a luxury resort level.

Guests can now enjoy a second large swimming pool and its adjacent children’s play pool that is decorated with animals and water slides. In addition, there is a new Tex-Mex restaurant, El Mirador, which is a Beach Front Grill with indoor and outdoor seating adjacent to the new swimming pool area.

The Spa “Metamorphosis” has been enlarged and now includes two hydrotherapy treatment rooms, three massage rooms, one “Vichy” shower, two saunas, two Jacuzzis and an excellent facility for special therapies.
