Barceló Rewards Agents for Bookings through December 23

Barceló Hotels & Resorts launched a bonus program for bookings through tour operators through Dec. 23 by travel agents for its Dominican Republic properties. The program does not apply to online bookings.

Participating properties are the Barceló Punta Cana Resort and the Barceló Bavaro Beach Resort, both in Punta Cana, and the Barceló Capella Beach Resort in Juan Dolio. The three properties represent close to 2,000 guestrooms.

Agents are eligible to earn points based on the length of stays and will receive double points in September and October.

The points earned can be redeemed for complimentary stays between June and Dec. 23 and again from April 1 to June 30, 2008, based on availability.

“We are excited to offer this opportunity for the agents who book our resorts year round,” said Oscar Serrano, managing director of sales and marketing in the Caribbean, Mexico and Central & South America.
