New York Mets fans may catch more than a winning game or a ball hit into the stands during the 2007 Major League Baseball season. For the second year in a row, the Barbados Tourism Authority has partnered with the Mets to promote the Caribbean destination at home and away games. Via the partnership, Mets fans will have several chances to win an all-expense paid trip to Barbados.

“Throughout the baseball season, we will be providing our fan base with in-game promotions and Mets-themed vacation offers to Barbados,” said Dave Howard, the New York Mets’ executive vice president, business operations.

The Mets Lucky Home Run Inning offers the chance for a fan to win a complimentary getaway when a Mets player hits a home run during a specially designated inning. A single contestant will be randomly selected among the fans at all 81 games played at Shea Stadium in New York.

In addition, Barbados is offering Mets-themed vacation packages; each fan who purchases a package will receive a voucher redeemable for four tickets to a future Mets game as well as Mets and Barbados-themed merchandise.
