Azamara Names William Leiber as Chief Blogging Officer, Ernie Byle as PR Consultant

Azamara Club Cruises appointed cruise industry veteran William “Bill” Leiber as its chief blogging officer. Leiber will engage and respond to traveler inquiries about Azamara in online forums and discussion boards, and will be the primary contributor to a blog at www.AzamaraClubCruises.com/DestinationImmersion, which will launch at the end of October. The destination immersion microsite also will feature destination videos and photos, travel advice, and news from Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest.

Leiber joins Azamara with more than 30 years experience in the cruise industry, including a stint at Seabourn and Cunard, where he worked for Azamara CEO Larry Pimentel. He is currently active in non-profit organizations and last served as senior vice president of sales, marketing and revenue management at Silversea Cruises.

Separately, Ernie Beyl has joined Azamara as public relations consultant. Beyl most recently was PR counsel to SeaDream Yacht Club. He previously worked for Azamara CEO Larry Pimentel when Pimentel was president of SeaDream and president of Seabourn. News releases will continue to be issued by corporate communications at Azamara.
