Avanti Destinations Debuts New Line of Mexico Programs

Avanti Destinations is introducing a new line of Mexico programs focused on local culture and boutique hotel stays. “Our new Mexico journeys translate the cultural authenticity of our Europe and Latin America vacations into a vacation that is unlike others in the Mexico market,” said Harry Dalgaard, president of Avanti Destinations. “There is much more to a Mexico vacation than just jumping onto an airplane and plopping down on the beach.”

Avanti is using specially selected boutique hotels and including unique things to see and do as options. These include “behind the scenes” experiences, tequila tastings, cultural heritage options, gourmet dining and private archeological site visits. Avanti's travel consultants and sales staff have experience in the Mexico market and many have first-hand knowledge of the destination.

Avanti said it main goal for its Mexico product is to developing new and experiential travel options. To get started, Avanti’s Riviera Maya Vacation offers stays at the four-star BePlaya boutique hotel. Included are four nights’ accommodations at the hotel, private transfers, a private tour of Tulum, free time for shopping in Playa del Carmen and dinner at Alux Restaurant in a natural underground cavern. Prices start at $825 per person land only.

In Puerto Vallarta, Avanti offers a vacation at the boutique Casa Velas Hotel, a luxury five-star property. The five-day/four-night stay is priced from $1,229 per person and includes accommodations, private transfers, a tour of Puerto Vallarta, and a visit to the countryside featuring farming villages as well as a tequila distillery and tasting.
