ASTA has taken its message to the media with new television infomercials – produced in the style of public interest broadcasting – that will be broadcast on 100-plus PBS stations this year to promote the value agents offer consumers. The television segments are part and parcel of ASTA’s media campaign designed to communicate the value travel agents provide consumers.

The four- to six-minute segments will be broadcast in secondary markets between programs before the top of the hour.

“These powerful ads are just one of many elements of our ongoing multi-media campaign to influence consumer perception that travel professionals add value to the travel buying process,” said ASTA president and CEO Zane Kerby. “We offer our heartfelt thanks to Silversea for sponsoring these spots.”

ASTA is also taking its message to social media. In February, ASTA debuted its new My Travel Agent Gets Me There digital ad campaign, which have, to date, created 680 impressions with the ads appearing in such national media outlets as the New York Times and USA Today.
