Argentina on Dec. 20 began charging U.S. visitors a $131 entry fee at Ezeiza Airport in Buenos Aires. According to a notice from the U.S. embassy in Buenos Aires, the fee “permits multiple entries into Argentina for 10 years in accordance with United States visa reciprocity.”

Argentina does not require visiting U.S. citizens to have a visa, but the U.S. requires Argentineans to obtain a visa, for which there is a $131 fee.
