Antigua’s Hermitage Bay Taps Rachel Charles-Brown as GM
Antigua’s Hermitage Bay named Rachel Charles-Brown as general manager. She joined Hermitage Bay in October 2007 as an assistant manager. Mrs. Charles-Brown was appointed island manager of Palm Island Resort and was instrumental in opening the resort before joining Hermitage Bay.
Specializing in five-star properties, she previously held a position as marketing manager at a Camelot Inn, St Vincent & the Grenadines as well as positions at Cotton House, Mustique; Sandy Lane, Barbados; and Galley Bay Resort, Antigua.
Mrs. Charles-Brown went on to diplomatic assignment with the government of St. Vincent & the Grenadines as manager of their Tourist Board in London, where she had marketing responsibilities for the U.K. and Europe.
She held this position for five and a half years. Hermitage Bay sits on the west coast of Antigua overlooking the Caribbean. The property is made-up of 25 freestanding Cottage Suites and flanked by over 140 acres of undeveloped land.
