American Express launches partnership program for luxury Caribbean hotels
In an effort to stimulate travel to the Caribbean, American Express has created a program for luxury hotels called "Extraordinary Caribbean Escapes." The program is effective now through December 2003, and offers exclusive benefits to card members and hotel partners.
"The goal of this promotion is to support luxury hotel partners in the Caribbean by driving incremental bookings from our affluent card members," explains Glenn Harris, Head of Caribbean Marketing for American Express Global Establishment Services.
"We have the top wholesalers as distribution partners, along with the American Express Travel network, which will provide a huge marketing push into this region at a time when it is greatly
needed."
"Extraordinary Caribbean Escapes” will feature a variety of vacation packages at more than 50 resorts on 20 Caribbean islands as well as in Central America and Mexico.
Some of the featured properties include: Curtain Bluff in Antigua, the Grace Bay Club in Turks and Caicos, Peter Island in the BVI, Ladiera Resort in St. Lucia, Eden Rock in St. Barts, Pink Sands Resorts in The Bahamas, Sandy Lane in Barbados, Cambridge Beaches in Bermuda and other four and five-star resorts.
Consumers who use their American Express card to book the trip will receive a very significant complimentary Extraordinary Escapes Exclusive Amenity.
Amenities vary by property and range from a relaxing couple´s massage in a beach-side cabana to a sunset dinner cruise along a quiet island coast.
Packages can be booked through the local travel agent, American Express Travel Services locations, and participating wholesalers: Classic Custom Vacations and Air Jamaica Vacations as well as others that will be coming on board shortly.
The program will also be supported by Hotels-Caribbean a key wholesaler in the European market.
