American Eagle Goes to Jet Service on Exuma Route

American Eagle launched jet service from Miami to Exuma in the Bahamas on Nov. 18. The daily flight replaced the propeller planes that had serviced the route. Service is twice a day on weekends.

Bahamas Minister of Tourism Vincent Vanderpool-Wallace said the new jet service is part of tourism efforts to brand individual islands. He credited Sandals Emerald Bay Resort, which opened on Exuma in late 2009, for attracting new business to the island.
