American Eagle Airlines Launches Nonstop Jet Service From Dallas/Fort Worth to Six Cities

American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, today launched daily nonstop service from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to six new destinations – including two new cities in Mexico.  

American Eagle celebrated new nonstop service to c in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico, flying the route with 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 jet aircraft. Eagle also begins daily nonstop service to Morelia International Airport in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico, using 44-seat Embraer ERJ-140 jet aircraft.  

“We are pleased to expand American’s network in Mexico with flights to and from beautiful Mazatlan and Morelia,” said Gary Foss, Vice President of Marketing and Planning for American’s regional network. “These daily nonstop flights will link customers from throughout the states of Sinaloa and Michoacan with American’s largest hub, offering convenient connections throughout the oneworld global network.”

Together, American Airlines and American Eagle now serve 18 destinations throughout Mexico with more than 300 weekly flights. In addition to Morelia and Mazatlan, other destinations include Acapulco, Aguascalientes, Cancun, Chihuahua, Cozumel, Guadalajara, Leon (Guanajuato), Los Cabos, Mexico City, Monterrey, Puerto Vallarta, San Luis Potosi, Queretaro, Torreon, Veracruz and Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo.

Customers can earn double miles for travel between Dallas/Fort Worth and Mazatlan and Morelia, beginning today through Aug. 31, 2011. To participate in this promotion, customers need to register prior to travel using promotion code MZT2X (for Mazatlan) or MLM2X (for Morelia).
