America Express picked as the world’s leading travel company

American Express won top laurels during the 2004 World Travel Awards as the world’s leading travel company for business and leisure travelers.

As many as 165,000 experts and professionals from 200 countries cast their votes every year to choose the cream of the crop in the realm of travel and tourism.

The Annual World Travel Awards ceremony took place in Barbados last December 11.

“American Express is by and large a provider of holistic trips that relies on a world-class global network and online solutions. That’s why American Express is truly recognized as the world’s leading travel company,” says James Kahn, director of global sales for the World Travel Awards.

For his part, Global Travel Services President Charles Petruccelli noted “it’s a great honor to be voted for by so many travel industry professionals.”
