Amadeus Offers Portugal Fam Trips This Spring

Amadeus Waterways is offering travel agents two fam trips to Portugal. The fam cruises are scheduled for May 17-24 and June 7-14 for $799 per person. The fam rate covers the seven-night cruise in a guaranteed cabin on Main Deck. Port charges are $91 per person.

Additionally, the June 7 cruise will feature a seminar by Angie Avalos, Amadeus Waterways sales manager, on how to become a European river cruise specialist. The offer includes a roundtrip cruise from Porto on the Amadouro, the newest ship sailing the Douro river.

The itinerary explores the Douro River Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned as a centuries-old winemaking center. The itinerary includes a visit to the ancient university city of Salamanca, Spain. Onboard highlights of this itinerary include unlimited port wines with dinner and regional cuisine.

The fam price includes shore excursions, dinner at the Alpendurada Monastery, a lecture, wine tasting and special dinner at the Vintage House Hotel, plus a professional cruise director. A three-night extension in Lisbon is also available.
