AirTran Offers Lauderdale-Baltimore Sale: $59 One-Way

Low-cost carrier AirTran Airways is launching a sale to celebrate the addition of up to four round-trip flights per day between Baltimore and Fort Lauderdale starting Sept. 6.

AirTran is offering fares as low as $59 one-way, including government taxes and fees, on flights between the two markets between Sept. 6 and Dec. 18. Blackout dates apply around the Thanksgiving holiday.

AirTran was recently purchased by Southwest Airlines. It now offers three round-trip flights per day between Baltimore-Washington and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood airports, while Southwest offers three more round-trips daily on the route.

The extra AirTran service on the Baltimore-Lauderdale route will run from Sept. 6 at least through Feb. 13.
