AirTran Airways Launches New Service to Cancun, Mexico

AirTran Airways has begun daily nonstop flights from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, Ga., to Cancun Airport International in Cancun, Mexico. One-way fares are $89 off peak and $99 peak. All fares are non-refundable and a $75 fee per person applies to any change made after purchase, plus any applicable increase in airfare.

Ten-day advance purchase is required. Seats are limited, subject to availability, and may not be available on all flights. Tickets must be purchased by March 5, 2009. Sale fares are valid for travel through Nov. 4, 2009. Lowest sale fares are valid for travel on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Additional sale fares are valid for travel on Fridays and Sundays. Blackout dates to/from Cancun are as follows: March 12 to April 20, May 21 to 22, May 25, June 26 to 28, July 2 to 3, and July 5 to 6, 2009. A first bag may be checked for a fee of up to $15 per person and a second bag may be checked for a fee of up to $25 per person.
