After undertaking a major restructuring of its operations, the national airline of Jamaica has achieved its best reliability performance in years.

For the past two months, Air Jamaica posted a schedule completion reliability rate of 99.3 percent. In addition, the carrier´s on-time performance also showed marked improvement; currently, the carrier is running at an 86 percent on-time rate.

These very positive performance trends easily place Air Jamaica among the best in the industry. CEO Mike Conway noted that the much-improved operational performance resulted from a company-wide effort focused on product integrity.

Air Jamaica provides more non-stop flights to Jamaica than any other carrier. The airline offers scheduled service with more than 270 flights per week from Atlanta, Baltimore/Washington, Chicago, Ft. Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York (JFK), Orlando, and Philadelphia in the U.S., Toronto, Canada and from London to Montego Bay and Kingston.

The airline also offers intra-regional service with flights between Jamaica and Bahamas, Barbados, Bonaire, Curacao, Cuba, Grand Cayman and Grenada.

The airline´s code share agreement with Delta Airlines, its joint fare arrangements and compatible schedules with United, and other U.S. carriers, extends its access to over 150 cities within the Continental U.S.
