Air Jamaica Boosts Up Grenada Flights
Air Jamaica is adding more flights to Grenada this summer, increasing its nonstop schedule from four to five flights a week to and from New York´s JFK International Airport, beginning the week of June 25.
JM 94, which currently operates on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, will have an additional Thursday departure. All flights depart New York´s JFK at 10:30 a.m., arriving in Grenada at 3:10 p.m. On the return leg, JM 95 departs Grenada at 4:00 p.m. and arrives in New York at 8:50 p.m.
“The partnership between Grenada and Air Jamaica has been mutually beneficial and we look forward to strengthening our relationship during what we expect will be an exceptionally busy summer period,” Air Jamaica senior executive George de Mercado commented.
He noted that the additional fifth flight, using a leased Boeing 757 aircraft, will operate seasonally between June 25 through September 10 this year.
Air Jamaica provides more nonstop flights to Jamaica than any other carrier with more than 270 flights a week from Atlanta, Baltimore & Washington, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York (JFK), Orlando, and Philadelphia in the U.S., Toronto , Canada and from London to Montego Bay and Kingston.
Air Jamaica also offers intraregional service with flights between Jamaica and Bahamas, Barbados, Bonaire, Cuba, Curacao, Grand Cayman and St Lucia.
The airline´s codeshare agreement with Delta Airlines, its joint fare arrangements and compatible schedules with United, and other U.S. carriers, extend its access to more than 150 cities within the continental U.S.
