Air Europa Expands Caribbean Connections
Air Europa had confirmed it will double its flights to Santo Domingo and will add three services to Havana per week from Madrid as of April 1. For UK travellers the service begins in Gatwick via Madrid with short connection times at competitively priced airfares to the largest Caribbean islands.
The additions have been introduced to the sales system and customers looking to fly from London after that date can now book online on the updated flight times. The Latin America specialist will double its nonstop service between Madrid and Santo Domingo.
It will fly twice daily: in the afternoon at 14:55 and at 01:25 at night to Las Americas Airport. Moreover, Air Europa will step up from four to seven weekly flights between Madrid and Punta Cana, the country´s famous seaside tourist destination.
The route between Madrid and Havana will increase from seven to ten weekly flights. Currently, Air Europa holds daily connections between Barajas Airport and José Marti departing at 15:00. From April, service will also run at 16:35 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The new services to both cities will commence on April 1st, when Iberia will end its long-haul service to both Caribbean islands. All flights between Madrid and Dominican Republic and Cuba are served by modern Airbus 330-200 aircraft with a capacity of 299 passengers, including 24 business class seats designed for maximum privacy and comfort.
