Aerolineas Argentinas Appoints UK Agent to Boost Sales

Aerolineas Argentinas, the national airline of Argentina, has announced the appointment of Flight Directors as its new General Sales Agent for United Kingdom & Ireland, with the objective of strengthening its presence and increasing its market share in this important offline market.

Established for more than 28 years, Flight Directors is the leading airline general sales agency, specializing in the UK market. Head of sales, Vikki Joyce, welcomed the new agreement with Aerolineas Argentinas.

Now wearing a striking new blue, grey and white livery, Aerolineas Argentinas, and its sister airline, Austral, are reorganizing and modernizing operations with new routes, new aircraft and improved service throughout the network. The renewal program sees 57 modern aircraft joining the combined fleet.

Long haul flights from Buenos Aires to Europe, North America and the South Pacific are now exclusively operated by Airbus 340 aircraft, with regional and domestic flights served by the latest Boeing 737-700/800 and Embraer 190 twinjets. Jorge Kosanich, Aerolineas Argentinas manager for Europe, confirmed the appointment.
