Aerocontinente’s woes

Peruvian newspaper El Comercio de Lima quoted Chile’s General Management of Commercial Aviation (DGAC is the acronym in Spanish) as saying that Aerocontinente Airlines has seriously breached guidelines for flight security, maintenance, management and finances, and so it’s now barred from operating all over the world.

However –and perhaps anticipating a future comeback- DGAC added the Peruvian air carrier could not resume operations in Chile “unless it complies with all those security rules it broke.”
