The event can be attended by researchers, historians, professors, jurists, artists, specialists from museums, university students and people interested in Marti’s work.
This time around the main work lines will be tackling Marti’s ideas on the Neocolonial Republic; Martí and his conceptions: ethics, legal, related to history, art and culture, education and Nature; as well as aesthetic-cultural or artistic concepts as paradigms for the utopia of Revolution in present circumstances.
The participants are also going to debate topics related to Santiago de Cuba City, its history, important figures, events and environment, among others.
The vice president of the workshop, Dr. Giovanni L. Villalón, explained that "the attendees will not only find a space for debate, but they will visit sites of historic and cultural interest in the province".
"We’ll have a space to share data related to the upcoming 500th anniversary of the foundation of this city and go deeper into Marti’s ideas and their application in the current circumstances that are being faced by Cuba and the rest of the world", he said.
